5G Coffee House

Went there today for a quick brunch. I so much love their homemade tocino and tapa!!! Paired with iced matcha latte and that strawberry pastry(I forgot what it's called). Yum!

Just over the weekend, I took my chance in ordering a giant (XXXL) croissant for a special family milestone with less than 12hours notice to when I needed it- not really knowing they actually sold these giant ones and that it takes so much extra preparation than the regular ones. Delighted that not only did they literally deliver before the promised time, but we also got some extra pieces, the freshest croissants that made the day a lot extra special for someone who really loves the pastry. Thank you so much to the whole team! Appreciate every effort & kindness put into our order. More power to you guys :)

I'm a big matcha guy so for starters the matcha latte is definitely a must try. 10/10. Real japanese matcha was definitely used here and 5G's cup does not disappoint. For croissants, I first tasted the croissants at LK and although their other croissants are good, the matcha croissant there disappointed me so much. When I finally got around to trying 5G's (almost always sold out) matcha croissant, I was on cloud 9; There's a clear winner between using a block of melted white chocolate in the middle versus using a creamy matcha mousse/ ganache of sorts. The strawberry matcha was also really good My brother even flew back to the Philippines for his wedding and he said that the box of 4 I gave him (tiramisu, pan au Chocolat, almond and matcha) was some of the best croissant he's ever tasted (and that's big for me because he's not a bread guy) Only bad feedback I can think of for this branch is that the store is kinda small for big groups but the atmosphere makes it feel homely that i was able to do some wfh tasks there in peace. They're also often out of stock before 4pm so Grab your matcha croissant now because they're selling like hotcakes (or in this case croissants lol)

The croissant was as delicious as it could be, and there were many choices. The place is also cozy and quiet. I had a peaceful time. The only thing that is lacking is that there was no personality of americano. I hope the La_Marxocco machine makes a unique coffee.

Food: Pricing initially felt a bit steep, but the portions were more than generous and everything tasted great. Seldom do I struggle to finish a meal I enjoy, and that chorizo plate was one of those times (still finished though hehe). The whitebrew was delicious and their croissant deserves the hype. Service: Would appreciate if water was served right away without needing to ask, a small gesture that goes a long way for me, and if empty plates were cleared when new dishes arrive. Staff were very friendly and welcoming, and food was served quickly. Atmosphere: Love the whole setup. They’ve got a nice mix of seating options and a pleasant, cozy vibe.

5G is a cozy spot in Cebu! I went there because they are highly regarded for their croissants, but their coffee and matcha did not disappoint as well. Price is a bit more expensive than other coffee shops, BUT the quality speaks for itself. I liked their matcha a lot, it's smooth, not too sweet, and you can really taste the flavor of the matcha itself. I like how they don't overdo their coffee and matcha drinks with too much flavors or sweetness, it's definitely a good combination with the pastries. The croissants are massive, my boyfriend and I even shared one with each other and it was enough for both of us, so 235+php for a big and good quality pastry like that is a steal IMO. The space is cozy, they have enough tables and chairs indoor and outdoor that can accommodate guests. The only comment I could give that can improve the whole experience is a cleaner bathroom. *pictures were from 2 different visits (you can tell I'm a big fan of their croissants!)
